Surface must be free from any dust, dirt and contaminants. Clean
all previously sealed surfaces with Stone Mason All Purpose Concrete
Cleaner or appropriate substitute. Clean all unsealed surfaces with
Stone Mason Efflorescence and Rust Remover. Rinse thoroughly and
let dry 24 hours.
Apply a thin, uniform coat with a brush, thick nap roller or airless
spray. Allow to dry 48 hours before exposing to traffic. A higher
gloss can be achieved by applying a second coat after 2 to 4 hours
or dry to the touch.
Each 3.78 L (1 US gal) can will cover approx. 14–18.5 m2 (150–200
sq ft) with a one coat application. However, rough and more absorbent
substrates will lower the coverage rate.
Clean tools with warm water while “TOP COAT” sealer
is still wet.
Apply in temperature between 10°C and 30°C (50°F and
86°F). Do not apply when rain is imminent within 36 hours.
- Do not apply to stamped concrete surfaces.
- Test small area for colour fastness and suitability.
- To reduce slipperiness: while still wet broadcast sand lightly
into first coat then apply second coat.
- Do not apply too heavy; this may cause early failure. Two thin
coats are recommended for optimum performance.
