Application Guide

Mixing: In a clean mixing container, place approximately 3.7litres (1 gal.) of clean potable water and mix in the contents of one 22.7 Kg (50lb.) bag of Glass Block Mortar.
Blend to a uniform, firm consistency (not runny).

For exterior use or use in flooring, premix 2.8 litre (3 qts.) of Acrylic Bond with 1 litre (1qt.) of clean potable water to mix with each bag of Glass Block Mortar (to provide maximum resistance to environmental extremes and greatest strengths.)

Surface Preparation: Prior to application, ensure surfaces to receive mortar are clean and free from dirt, dust, oil, or any other material that may prevent good bonding.

Application: Trowel mortar onto desired surface. Be sure to follow block manufacturer's instructions for glass block installation. Once mortar has taken an initial set it may be tooled using clean non staining tools.

Limitations: Do not apply when the temperature is expected to fall below 5°C (40°F). Avoid working in hot, dry, windy areas. Use only clean, non-staining tools and mixing equipment to avoid discolouration of mortar.
